Gas Leak Spurs Delays At Major Alexandria Intersection
Expect delays during the evening rush hour as crews repair a gas leak on Washington Street.
ALEXANDRIA, VA—A gas leak repair is resulting in delays for commuters during the Monday evening rush hour.
The gas leak happened on Washington Street just south of King Street. The curbside and center lanes in the 100 block of South Washington Street in the southbound direction are closed. The repair work is expected to last through rush hour.
Blue Line shuttles will continue to stop at King and North Washington Streets. Riders should expect delays. Drivers should use alternate routes if possible.
