Grand 'Re-Opening' for Ace Hardware Store in Old Town

Old Town Ace aka Ace Hardware Store is holding a grand re-opening party Sunday, June 28. The all-day customer appreciation sale will feature 20 percent off store merchandise as well as a reception from 2-4 p.m., with snacks and sweet treats, free gifts to the first 100 guests, and live demos from some of the store’s favorite vendors.

The hardware store, at 809 S. Washington St., will bring the company’s unique blend of personal, knowledgeable and helpful service paired with quality home maintenance expertise and products to Alexandria residents.

Old Town Ace is the tenth store opened by local residents and owners Gina Schaefer and Marc Friedman. Schaefer intends to bring new life to the store by specifically catering to the needs and interests of their neighbors in the Alexandria community, including solutions to everyday home maintenance needs, as well as an extensive array of high quality products in categories such as paint, and lawn and garden, according to a news release from the company.

“Our mission is to provide customers with the neighborly advice and assistance they have come to expect from Ace,” says Schaefer, the new owner of Old Town Ace. “We look forward to becoming a helpful and valuable neighbor to the community, both inside and outside the walls of our store.”

The 8,000 square foot store is packed with thousands of essential products and supplies, including some of the most respected brand names and best-selling items to help people take care of their homes. Key product offerings include paint, lawn and garden, hardware, electrical, plumbing, automotive and home décor.

Store hours are Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
