Gunshots Report Closes Street In Old Town West Neighborhood

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Alexandria Police are responding to a gunshots report in the Old Town West neighborhood Monday morning.

No injuries were reported, and Alexandria Police are on the scene. Due to the investigation, First Street is closed between Fayette Street and Route 1.

Alexandria Police have no other immediate details to share at this time.

The neighborhood near the Braddock Road Metro was the location of a shooting with an injury last Sunday, Dec. 5. Police responded to Madison and N. West Street and found a person with a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No arrests have been announced.
