Gym for Dogs Opens in Alexandria

Fido getting flabby? Take him for a workout at Frolick Dogs Canine Sports Club.

You’ve likely heard of dog yappy hours, dog massage, organic dog treats...but have you heard about the new gym for dogs that recently opened in Alexandria?

On the surface, it may sound a bit frivolous, a gym for dogs. But with Alexandria’s reputation for being so dog-friendly, and most pooches sitting around getting flabby while the human of the house is busy working, it’s a natural.

That’s where Frolick Dogs Canine Sports Club comes in. The new facility in Alexandria held its official grand opening Thursday, with Mayor Bill Euille and others on hand to welcome the new business. It’s getting all kinds of attention from local and national media.
