Clinton received high marks from pundits for her performance Tuesday night in the first Democratic presidential candidate debate on CNN. Moderated by CNN’s Anderson Cooper, it also featured fellow candidates Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, former Virginia Sen. Jim Webb, who lives in nearby Falls Church, former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley and former Rhode Island Gov. Lincoln Chafee.
Democrats named Clinton the winner in the debate in a HuffPost/YouGov poll.
People magazine said Thursday that a birthday bash fundraiser for Clinton is set for Sunday, Oct. 25 in New York City, with a performance by singer John Legend. “Some women don’t like to discuss their ages, but I think that on your birthday, you should live it up!” the invite for the fundraiser birthday party reads. “This year, I’m excited to celebrate the fact that I’m running to be the youngest woman ever to be President of the United States.”
Clinton, who became a grandmother last year, turns 68 on Oct. 26.
