Historic Alexandria Homes Tour 2019 To Feature 6 Properties

The tour allows visitors to get a look inside historic homes in Old Town Alexandria.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Six historic Old Town homes will be on display for the 78th annual Historic Alexandria Homes Tour on Saturday, Sept. 28 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Homes are offered up by their owners for a rare glimpse inside. Visitors can look around these 18th and early 19th-century homes and learn the history behind them. The event is a walking tour and occurs rain or shine. Information on the specific homes on the is provided to ticketed attendees.

The Twig thrift store hosts the tour with all proceeds benefiting Inova Alexandria Hospital. The tour is sponsored by Oriental Rug In-Home & Office Cleaning Services and homes are sponsored by TTR Sotheby's International Realty, McEnearney Associates, Inc. Realtors, Alexandria INOVA Hospital Foundation, The Golubin Group, Fidelity Investments and Babs Beckwith of McEnearney Associates, Inc., Realtors.

Tickets are $40 in advance and $45 on the day of the tour. You can buy tickets online, at The Twig Thrift Shop (106 N Columbus Street) or at the Alexandria Visitors Center (221 King Street).
