Christmas Eve Hit-And-Run Of Alexandria Firefighters Leads To Charges
Police have charged a juvenile in the hit-and-run crash that injured two firefighters on Christmas Eve.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Alexandria Police have announced an arrest in the hit-and-run that injured two firefighters on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24.
The hit-and-run happened around 4:20 a.m. in the 300 block of South Reynolds Street when firefighters had responded to an unrelated call for service. As firefighters were loading equipment onto the fire truck, a dark-colored vehicle struck two firefighters and part of the truck, Alexandria Police say.
The vehicle's driver did not stop and left the scene, according to police. The firefighters were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and were released that day.

The Fairfax County Police Department helped locate the suspect. The suspect, a 17-year-old juvenile from Falls Church, was charged with two counts of felony hit and run. The juvenile suspect's name is not being released, per state law.
