Hoffman Building Evacuated Friday After Bomb Threat
Alexandria Fire Department cleared building using bomb-sniffing dogs. Office workers boarded DASH buses and waited in nearby theater.

The Hoffman Building in the 200 block of Stovall Street in Alexandria was searched and cleared for a bomb threat Friday that was called in, according to Alexandria Fire Department spokesman Shawn Gore.
People who were evacuated onto DASH buses and into the nearby movie theater were still waiting as of about 11:15 a.m. to return to their offices. The Pentagon Police were to give the OK before they could return, Gore said.
Bomb-sniffing dogs from the City of Alexandria Police were used to search and clear the building, Gore said.
