How Alexandria Neighborhoods Fared In Best Places To Live List
Niche.com's annual list 200 best places to live in Virginia was dominated by places in the NoVA region.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Niche.com has put out its 2020 list of best places to live in Virginia, and various Alexandria neighborhoods are individually ranked.
There are over 200 places ranked on this year's list. To arrive at the rankings, Niche took various factors into consideration, such as the quality of local schools, crime rates, housing trends, employment statistics and access to amenities.
Many of the places on the list are neighborhoods or towns from Northern Virginia. In fact, Arlington County had 21 places in the top 25. Arlington as a whole was ranked the eighth best place to live, while its Bluemont neighborhood took the top spot.

As for Alexandria, the Taylor Run neighborhood was the city's highest ranked neighborhood at the 46th spot. It received an overall grade of A+ and a mix of grades for being good for families, as well as health and fitness, jobs, outdoor activities, diversity, and commute. B grades were assigned for public schools, housing and weather, and its lowest grade was C+ for cost of living.
