Here are the latest traffic updates that will impact your morning commute on Thursday, June 23.
On the Road
Drivers can expect lane closures on I-495 in Fairfax County due to the 495 NEXT project between Dulles Toll Road and the American Legion Bridge.

As of 5:56 a.m., a fire blocked both directions of 31st Street NW just south of M Street NW in Washington, DC.
At 6:55 a.m., a crash was reported on westbound Braddock Road after Burke Station Road in Fairfax County.

As of 7:47 a.m., westbound Route 4168/Brisbane Street in Fairfax County is closed between Springfield Village Drive to the dead end due to a downed tree.
As of 7:48 a.m., a disabled tractor-trailer was reported on northbound I-95 about 0.4 miles south of Exit 156/Dale Boulevard in Prince William County. No lanes are closed.
As of 7:48 a.m. a disabled vehicle closed the south right shoulder on northbound I-95 in Fairfax County.
As of 7:48 a.m., drivers can expect delays on eastbound I-66 at the 66.8 mile marker in Fairfax County due to an incident.
As of 7:56 a.m., drivers can expect delays on southbound I-95 at mile marker 152.5 in Prince William County due to a vehicle fire. The north exit ramp narrows.
As of 7:57 a.m., a crash was reported on Centreville Road affecting both directions near Franklin Farm Road. Drivers are asked to use caution.
As of 7:57 a.m., an oversized vehicle is blocking the right lane of the southbound George Washington Parkway before Key Bridge in Arlington County.
Daily delays are possible on Route 7/Leesburg Pike in Fairfax County from Reston Avenue to Jarrett Valley Drive in Fairfax County due to continued road work.
Drivers can expect potential delays on Route 644/Franconia Road from Bland Street to Commerce Street in Fairfax County due to construction activities. The east left lane and west left outside lane are closed.
On the Metro
As of 7:12 a.m., the Blue Line has residual delays to Franconia-Springfield due to a malfunction at Federal Triangle station.
On the Orange Line, the Minnesota Ave, Deanwood, Cheverly, Landover and New Carrollton remain closed through Labor Day due to a summer platform improvement project. Local and express shuttles are available at Stadium-Armory.
On Virginia Railway Express
As of 6:26 a.m., Train 304 on the Fredericksburg Line was 17 minutes late at the Rippon station due to a CSX freight train in front. The 306 train was behind and was five minutes late.
DC Weather
Showers will continue Thursday with the chance of thunderstorms after 2 p.m. Patchy fog will be present from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. with cloudy skies and a high of 73.
