Will Northern Virginia see snow? Here's a look at the latest weather forecasts for the DC metro region for Sunday, the first day of spring.

The first day of spring arrives in the DC metro area early Sunday, at 12:30 a.m. ET. Will the region see snow as spring begins its official start?
The forecast appears to be bringing the area the dreaded "wintry mix," but will likely miss the morning commute Monday.
The latest predictions from the National Weather Service show an 80 percent chance of a mix of rain and snow Sunday, with lows that evening in the lower 30s. Lows will be around 30 degrees Monday night.

Loudoun County could see 1 inch of snow; areas east of Loudoun County will likely see less than 1 inch of snow, Ashley Sears, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Sterling, said Friday afternoon.
The area could see snow as early as Saturday afternoon, off and on, through Sunday night with a periods of snow, rain/snow or just rain, she said.
