Lecture to Concentrate on George Washington, the Man

GMU Professor Emeritus Peter Henriques is the author of "Realistic Visionary: A Portrait of George Washington."

History buffs take note: There will be a lecture in Alexandria next month about the father of our country, from Peter Henriques, Professor Emeritus of History from George Mason University.

He will present “America’s Atlas: The Leadership of George Washington,” on Wednesday, Feb. 11 at the Lloyd House, 220 N. Washington St. in Alexandria. Henriques is the author of “Realistic Visionary: A Portrait of George Washington.”

Doors open at 7 p.m. and lecture begins at 7:30 pm. In this lecture, Henriques examines the variety of elements that came together to produce the amazing leader that George Washington was. The lecture will focus primarily on the man rather than on what he accomplished.
