Wednesday: Local Restaurant Owners to Hold Nepal Fundraiser

Funds to support Mercy Corps efforts in affected areas. Fundraiser will take place Wednesday from 4-10 p.m.

Following the weekend’s devastating earthquake in Nepal, Bastille and Bistrot Royal owners Christophe and Michelle Poteaux will host dual fundraisers, giving 10 percent of all dinner sales from both restaurants to support Mercy Corps programs operating in affected areas there.

The restaurants have established a fundraising page wherein staff and guests can make additional donations, accessible directly through Mercy Corps here, or on either restaurant’s Facebook page.

The fundraiser will take place Wednesday, April 29 from 4-10 p.m. at Bastille, 606 N. Fayette St. and at Bistrot Royal, 1201 N. Royal St. in Alexandria.
