Luxury Carmaker Could Be Headed For Alexandria's West End: Report
The filing is still in its early stages, but it could be a major local footprint for the global brand.
ALEXANDRIA, VA– Luxury automaker Porsche might be coming to Alexandria, according to the Washington Business Journal.
According to the report, Porsche Arlington is planning to relocate and rebrand itself as Porsche Alexandria, leaving its Richmond Highway location and taking over the former Rosenthal Chevrolet property at 6500 Little River Turnpike.
The new facility would be larger than the previous Chevrolet site and would offer both sales and service, as the Arlington location currently does.

The report notes that the filing is still and an early stage and will need permits and approvals before moving forward. No entity has made an announcement about the planned move yet.
The Zebra notes that if the plan comes to pass, it would be one of the biggest auto investments in the region in years.
