Man Dies After Being Struck By 2 Vehicles On Highway Near Huntington

A man struck by 2 vehicles on Richmond Highway early Thursday morning was pronounced dead at the scene.

ALEXANDRIA, VA – A man was struck by two vehicles on a highway near the Huntington area in the early hours of Thursday morning, Fairfax police say. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Fairfax County Police Department reported that they were responding to a crash at Richmond Highway and Fort Hunt Road at about 3 a.m. on Thursday. They found an adult man who’d been hit by two vehicles.

Only one driver remained at the scene. Fairfax police are trying to identify the second vehicle involved.

Northbound Richmond Highway between Huntington Avenue and Fort Hunt Road was closed for several hours as the crash reconstruction team worked. Fairfax police announced that the road had opened about 4 hours later, around 7 a.m.
