Man Dies In Stabbing At Alexandria BJ's: Police

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Alexandria Police are now investigating the Saturday death at the BJ's Wholesale Club in Alexandria as a homicide.

Around 7:45 p.m., police responded to a stabbing in the 100 block of South Van Dorn Street. Officers found an adult man with upper body trauma. Officers and EMS attempted life-saving measures, but the man was pronounced dead on the scene. He was identified as Abiy Zemene, 29, of Silver Spring, Maryland.

The suspect, an adult man, remained on scene and was taken into custody. Police say the victim and suspect knew each other. The suspect, Rakibul Fakir, 33, of Alexandria, was charged with second-degree murder.
