Mayor Euille Elected to 2015 Chair of Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments
Area leaders work together at COG to develop solutions to the region's major challenges.

The Board of Directors of the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (COG) today elected Alexandria Mayor William Euille as its 2015 Chairman. He has served on the Board of Directors since 2006.
Euille also serves the National Capital Region on the Board of Directors for the Washington Metropolitan Area Transportation Authority and the Northern Virginia Transportation Authority. He is Past Chairman of the Northern Virginia Transportation Commission and Past President of the Virginia Transit Authority.
The COG Board also elected its 2015 Vice Chairs — Roger Berliner and Kenyan McDuffie. Berliner is a Montgomery County Councilmember. McDuffie is a District of Columbia Councilmember.
