Memorial Pool Closes Again For Repairs In Alexandria
The pool is closed again after a delayed opening due to mechanical issues.

ALEXANDRIA, VA—Memorial Pool at Charles Houston Recreation Center is yet again closed for repairs, the City of Alexandria announced.
The city cited "unexpected mechanical issues" and says repairs are in progress. The pool previously had a delayed opening after a power outage from a severe thunderstorm caused mechanical damage before Memorial Day weekend.
The other two city-run pools, Old Town Pool at 1609 Cameron Street and Warwick Pool at 3301 Landover Street are open as scheduled. Both pools operate from 12 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. on weekdays and from 12 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. on weekends. Another option is Nova Parks' Great Waves Waterpark at 4001 Eisenhower Avenue, open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
