Alexandria Metrobus Crash: Several Injured On 395

BREAKING: Multiple people were injured after a Metrobus crashed on Interstate 395 in Alexandria.

ALEXANDRIA, VA—A Metrobus crash in the HOV lanes of Interstate 395 has injured multiple people Monday evening.

The crash occurred on the southbound portion near Seminary Road shortly before 5 p.m. Metro spokeswoman Sherri Ly told NBC Washington the bus was on the 21D route to Landmark and hit a concrete barrier. She told the news station injuries were minor.

Alexandria Fire Department dispatch reports confirm at least eight people were taken to the hospital. None of the patients appear to have life-threatening injuries. Dispatch reports described four patients as having minor injuries and four with more serious injuries but in stable condition.

The crash temporarily blocked lanes, but authorities say all lanes have reopened.
