Mia's Italian Kitchen Now Open In Old Town Alexandria

Mia's Italian Kitchen is open to serve up pizza by the slice and other Italian food near the Old Town Alexandria waterfront.

ALEXANDRIA, VA—Mia's Italian Kitchen is now open at 100 King Street in Alexandria. The restaurant opened its doors Wednesday, April 18 at 11 a.m. at the former Carluccio's location, offering Italian specialties such as house-made pasta, sandwiches and pizza by the slice.

A project of Alexandria Restaurant Partners, Mia's Italian Kitchen is run by Corporate Executive Chef Graham Duncan and ARP Partner Dave Nicholas. The inspiration for the restaurant comes from Nicholas's great-grandmother from Naples, Italy, who he communicated with through cooking.

The two-level restaurant offers a relaxed happy hour atmosphere on the first level, a lounge of sorts on the second level and an outdoor patio area. In addition to a long menu of Italian foods, Mia's offers Italian wines and weekday happy hour specials like $4 sangria, Eater DC reported. A $24-per-person brunch will also be introduced.
