Missing Person Alert Issued For Alexandria Man With Autism
Police are searching for 39-year-old Peter Edwards, who was last seen Wednesday morning on Dow Avenue in Alexandria.
ALEXANDRIA, VA — Virginia State Police issued a missing person alert Wednesday for a 39-year-old Alexandria man with autism whose disappearance is considered a threat to his health and safety.
Peter Edwards, 39, was last seen in the 5700 block of Dow Avenue around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to Virginia State Police. The alert was issued on behalf of the Alexandria Police Department shortly before 1 p.m.
Edwards is believed to be traveling on foot and walks with a limp and slight hunch. He may be wearing a black turtleneck and blue jeans.

Police described Edwards as 5 feet 2 inches tall and about 110 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
