Motorcyclist Dies After Fall From Overpass Ramp On Capital Beltway
Police say a motorcycle fell from an overpass ramp onto a cement wall, ejecting the motorcyclist from the vehicle.
ALEXANDRIA, VA — A motorcyclist died Sunday after a fall from an overpass ramp on the Capital Beltway in the Alexandria area, according to Virginia State Police.
Braydon A. Stone, 23, of Alexandria, was taken to the hospital, where he died of injuries, police said. He was wearing a helmet, they added.
Police were first alerted to a man lying in a westbound lane of the Capital Beltway near Telegraph Road around 2:50 p.m. Sunday.

Police believed the man was on a motorcycle traveling west on the Capital Beltway and took the Eisenhower Avenue exit toward Mill Road, police said.
On the overpass ramp, the 2019 Kawasaki Ninja 400 motorcycle went off the left side of the road and struck the cement wall, police said.

The crash caused the motorcyclist to be thrown from the vehicle and over the cement wall onto the westbound Capital Beltway. The man landed about 28 feet below the travel lane, police said.
