Large Gathering At Gas Stations 1 Of 2 Alexandria Shootings Being Investigated
Police are investigating two shootings, including one that included a large gathering of recreational vehicles at two gas stations.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Two shootings within 15 minutes on Saturday night are being investigated by Alexadnria Police.
The first shooting happened around 7:52 p.m. in the 3800 block of Florence Drive in the Arlandria neighborhood. Police found a 26-year-old man with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police then responded to a shooting around 8:05 p.m. in the 700 block of S Patrick Street in Old Town. Officers learned that the shooting happened when dozens of people riding dirt bikes, all-terrain vehicles, motorcycles and other recreational vehicles were gathered at two neighboring gas stations. In police photos, those gas stations appear to be Liberty and Speedway.

A victim was found being taken to a hospital in stable condition elsewhere in the DC region. Police were on scene to investigate the shooting for an extended time overnight. There was no immediate word on suspects or charges.
