The Alexandria location of Myron Mixon's Pitmaster BBQ had been open since 2016. But the closed location won't stay vacant for long, as a change of ownership special use permit application was filed to the City of Alexandria. The owners of the new restaurant would be Ralph Davis, who opened RT's Restaurant and ran other Alexandria restaurants, as well as his son Matthew Davis.
The proposed restaurant would be called Mystic BBQ & Grill and continue to serve BBQ and other items similar to what Myron Mixon's Pitmaster BBQ served during its first years of business. Mystic BBQ & Grill is proposing minimal changes to the space, such as painting, refinishing floors and new decor.
