Muse will also be the new home of the nonprofit Art League, which offers art education and other programs. The Art League is currently located at the Torpedo Factory Art Center.

Muse's developer is DC-based Carr Companies, which has various residential and retail projects underway in Alexandria, including Old Town North. Mayhood Company has been behind the sales and marketing, while architecture firm SK&I and Akseizer Design Group helped create the spaces.

Austin Flajser, president of Carr Companies, attributed Muse's success in a statement to its floor plans as well as residents' desire to be near the Potomac River, airport and greater DC region.

"We are thrilled that Muse’s new homeowners will include business owners, C-suite executives and managers, physicians, young professionals and a sizable mix of couples downsizing from single-family homes or from historic townhomes with too much maintenance,” said Flajser. "Muse is aimed at a sophisticated clientele that will continue to add vibrancy to the community and expect a continued cultural arts component to the recently established Arts District."
