New Restaurant to Open Wednesday on King Street
Magnolia's on King to feature Southern-inspired dishes.

Look for Magnolia’s on King to open its doors Wednesday at 703 King St. The new restaurant touts a Southern-inspired menu and is offering a 10 percent discount on dinner checks through Saturday as an opening special, according to its Facebook page. Beverages are not included.

Proprietor Steve Fogleman and Partner Mehrnoosh Rajabi are behind the new enterprise. Brian Rowe has been tapped to serve as executive chef. A native of Annapolis, Rowe brings 12 years of experience to the restaurant having worked in Beverly Hills, Orlando, Florida, Annapolis, Maryland, and Lyon, France. Prior to joining Magnolia’s, Rowe held positions of ever increasing responsibility, most notably for Wolfgang Puck’s group.
Entrees include Fried Blue Catfish ($17), Buttermilk Fried Chicken ($16) and “Denver” Steak ($28). Sides include Mashed Sweet Potatoes, Baked Mac and Cheese and Magnolia’s Grits. Desserts include Bananas Foster Pudding and S’Mores Bread Pudding.

The restaurant features an upstairs lounge with a working fireplace. The lounge features 12 signature cocktails including Magnolia’s Old Fashioned features Rittenhouse Rye, Pineapple Syrup, Cherry and Angostura Bitters.
Hours are Tuesday-Thursday 5-9:30 p.m.; Friday-Saturday 5-10 p.m. The restaurant is closed Sundays and Mondays.
