Obama Campaign to Open Office in Alexandria Saturday

Office will be 15th for Obama campaign in Virginia.

It seems like President Obama isn't taking any chances when it comes to trying to win over Virginia voters in the fall.

In what will be the president's 15th campaign office in the Old Dominion for the 2012 presidential election, the Obama campaign will open an office Saturday in Alexandria, according to the Alexandria Democratic Committee.

A grand opening is set for Saturday from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the office located at 1400 Duke St., at the corner of Duke and West streets, across the street from the original .

Former DNC Chairman , who has hinted at a run for governor, will speak to volunteers and guests at the grand opening, according to the committee website. at a fundraiser at his McLean home, netting $3 million for Democrats.

The Alexandria Democratic Committee is encouraging anyone who is interested to come out Saturday to meet fellow supporters and learn about the Obama teams in Alexandria.

Bob McDonnell told the Washington Examiner in a story published Wednesday "the ground game's not there yet" for former Gov. in Virginia, the GOP's presumptive nominee. "He's still in that healing, unifying the party stage," he said.
