Old Town Alexandria Restaurants Open Christmas Day, Christmas Eve 2022

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Not everyone in Old Town Alexandria wants to spend hours preparing a Christmas feast, some families are on the road and others with holiday vacations coming up are looking for restaurants open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Most restaurants are closed on Christmas Day, but plenty also stay open for business to serve those who don’t celebrate the holiday or who would rather focus on their family and friends rather than cooking an elaborate, multi-course meal.

  • A La Lucia: Open for Christmas Eve dining.
  • Ada's on the River: Three-course menus being offered on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, and Christmas Day, Dec. 25, include a children's menu for $29 per child and adult menu for $69 per person. The regular menu will also be available.
  • Augie's Mussel House and Beer Garden: Open for Christmas Eve dining.
  • BARCA Pier & Wine Bar: Holiday specials will be offered on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
  • Bastille: A three-course prix fixe menu will be served on Christmas Eve from 4:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. for $85 per person.
  • Blackwall Hitch: A four-course prix fixe menu will be offered on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24 for $65.
  • Brabo: Open on Christmas Eve for dining and takeout from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Open Christmas Day from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Tasting Room: Open 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Christmas Eve.
  • Cafe 44: Open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day for in-person dining.
  • Chadwicks: Open 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve for dining and takeout Christmas specials.
  • Chart House: Open for dining on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
  • Chop Shop Taco: Open 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve.
  • Handover by the Slice: Open 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Christmas Eve.
  • Hank's Oyster Bar: Enjoy Feast of Seven Fishes for $85 per person from Dec. 1 to Dec. 24. Open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Christmas Eve and closed Christmas Day.
  • Hen Quarter: Open for Christmas Eve dining.
  • Il Porto: Open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Christmas Eve and 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Christmas Day.
  • King & Rye: Open 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Christmas Eve with dining and takeout specials. The Winter Wonderland courtyard igloos can also be reserved.
  • Kismet Modern Indian: Open 2 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. for dining and takeout on Christmas Eve.
  • Kisso Indian Bistro: Open 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
  • Laporta's Restaurant: A Jazzy little Christmas tradition will be held on Christmas Eve with Sharon Clark Trio. The cost is $79.99 per person.
  • Lena’s Wood-Fired Pizza & Tap: Open 10 a.m. to 12 a.m. on Christmas Eve and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Christmas Day.
  • Mason Social: Open for Christmas Eve dining.
  • Mia's Italian Kitchen: Enjoy a $49 per person Christmas menu.
  • Michael's on King: Open for Christmas Eve dining.
  • Murphy's Grand Irish Pub: Open 9 a.m. to 2 a.m. on Christmas Eve and 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Christmas Day.
  • Oak Steakhouse: Open for Christmas Eve dining.
  • Thai Signature: Open 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Christmas Eve.
  • The Majestic: Enjoy special menus on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
  • The People's Drug: Open 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve.
  • The Warehouse: Open 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve.
  • Theismann’s Restaurant & Bar: Enjoy specials on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
  • Vola’s Dockside Grill and Hi-Tide Lounge: Enjoy a three-course menu for $49 from 110:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Vermilion: Enjoy Christmas Eve brunch and dinner menus.
  • Virtue Feed & Grain: Open for Christmas Eve dining.
  • 1799 Prime Steak & Seafood: Open for Christmas Eve dining.
  • 219 Restaurant: Open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Other chain and franchise restaurants, ranging from fast-food to fine dining, and coffee shops are open Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, unless otherwise noted. Some restaurants prepare multicourse meals for pickup; others have dine-in options; and others offer food and coffee on the go.
