Old Town Alexandria Voter's Guide to the 2014 Election

On Tuesday, Nov. 4, there will be a General Election for U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives as well as a Proposed Amendment to the Virginia Constitution.

U.S. Senate Race

U.S. Sen. Mark Warner (D) is running for reelection against Republican Ed Gillespie and Libertarian Robert Sarvis.

8th District

Democrat Don Beyer and Republican Micah Edmond are running for the open 8th District congressional seat being vacated by Congressman Jim Moran, who is retiring from Congress. He was first elected in 1990.

• The voter registration deadline for this election is today (Tuesday, Oct. 14). You can submit a voter registration application online through Virginia’s Department of Elections website.
