ALEXANDRIA, VA — Parking enforcement will be ramped up in Old Town as Alexandria Police launched a new pilot program with a contractor.
Reimagine Parking, a third-party contractor, was hired to do parking enforcement in Old Town, largely along King Street. The contractor was hired to supplement existing parking enforcement.
The contractor can issue citations and cannot handle towing, vehicle relocation or booting. Employees will display identification and be dressed in reflective vests that identify them as contractors for the City of Alexandria and company-branded shirts.
