ALEXANDRIA, VA — A pedestrian crash was reported in Old Town Alexandria Wednesday night.

The single-vehicle crash was reported in the 100 block of N. Henry Street near King Street, police reported before 10 p.m. The pedestrian involved in the crash had minor injuries but was taken to the hospital as a precaution, police said.

Henry and Patrick Street were identified as high crash corridors in the city's Vision Zero Action Plan. The city is proposing "no turn on red" restrictions for some intersections in early 2023, noting they help crashes including pedestrian crashes. The restrictions are proposed for turning onto Henry Street at the intersections with Wythe Street, Oronoco Street, Princess Street and Queen Street. Restrictions are also proposed for turning onto Patrick Street at the intersections with Montgomery Street, Wythe Street, Pendleton Street, Oronoco Street, Princess Street and Cameron Street.
