Pedestrian Killed In Hit-And-Run Crash In Alexandria: Police

A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash Tuesday morning on Interstate 395 in Alexandria, Virginia State Police said.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash Tuesday morning on Interstate 395 northbound near the exit for Duke Street in the city of Alexandria, Virginia State Police said.

The crash occurred about 6:12 a.m. Troopers found a pedestrian dead in the center lane of Interstate 395 northbound. The striking vehicle did not remain at the scene, a VSP news release said.

Authorities are working to identify the pedestrian and continue to investigate the crash.
