Police Investigate 'Felonious Assault' Monday Night
'Felonious assault' usually means someone is assaulted with a weapon such as a gun, knife, brass knuckles or other weapon.
ALEXANDRIA, VA — The Alexandria Police Department late Monday night is investigating a felonious assault in the 100 block of Ellsworth Avenue, which is near Duke Street and Yale Drive, just east of the Alexandria Commons shopping center (see Google map below). Police sent out a notification about the incident at 11:20 p.m. Monday.
The victim has a non-life-threatening injury and was transported to the hospital, police said.
Police were in the area investigating the incident Monday night.
