Police Investigate Bomb Threat Monday Night at Harris Teeter in Alexandria

Store is in the North Old Town area on St. Asaph Street.

The Alexandria Police Department was investigating a bomb threat Monday night at a grocery store in the 700 block of St. Asaph Street, according to an alert sent out by police at 10:22 p.m.

A Harris Teeter store is located in that area.

The store management evacuated the building, according to police. Expect police activity in the area.

A Harris Teeter store at that location was evacuated for a bomb threat earlier this year, on April 30. Police at that time used a bomb-sniffing dog to search the store, but did not turn up anything.
