Police Investigating Robbery at Gunpoint Monday in Alexandria

The Alexandria Police Department is investigating the robbery of a business in the 4100 block of Duke Street, according to an alert sent out by police at 12:33 p.m. Monday.

The location is in the City’s West End area (see map below).

One suspect brandished a handgun during the robbery and stole cash, police said. Police did not say which business in the area was robbed. There is a gas station, a tobacco shop and a Mexican restaurant located in the 4100 block of Duke Street.

The police department says to expect police activity in the area.
