UPDATE: Police Resolve Barricade Issue; Roads Open
Police sent out an alert about the situation just before 1 p.m. Tuesday. The situation was resolved at about 1:20 p.m.
UPDATE 1:30 p.m.: Alexandria Police have resolved a barricade situation Tuesday in the 5400 block of Duke Street in Alexandria, according to an alert sent out at about 1:20 p.m.
Any roadways closed near the area have reopened, according to police.

The Alexandria Police Department is investigating a suicidal adult Tuesday afternoon barricaded inside an apartment in the 5400 block of Duke Street (see Google map below), according to an alert sent out by police at about 12:50 p.m.
Residents should expect police activity in the area, according to police.
