Police: Two Charged in Verizon Store Robbery in Alexandria

Store on S. Washington Street was robbed at gunpoint Thursday, June 25.

The Alexandria Police Department has made two arrests in a June 25 robbery that occurred at the Verizon Wireless store in the 800 block of S. Washington Street, the department announced Monday.

William Nolan, 20, of Forest Heights, Md., was arrested more than a week ago, on Sunday, June 28, according to police. Ronnie Ingram, 21, of Forest Heights, Md., was arrested last Thursday, police said.

Nolan and Ingram were both charged with Robbery, Conspiracy to Commit Robbery, Use of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony and Abduction, police said.

On Thursday, June 25, around 7 p.m., the suspects approached the store clerk and brandished a handgun, according to police. The suspects forced the clerk into another room and stole numerous phones before fleeing the scene, police said. The clerk was not injured.
