Police Officer Injured In Old Town Alexandria Crash

The police cruiser struck a building after colliding with another vehicle in Old Town Alexandria.

An Alexandria Police officer was injured in a Tuesday night crash in Old Town, according to a police statement released before 9:30 p.m.

A vehicle and a police cruiser collided at Henry and Princess Streets. The police cruiser struck a building.

Alexandria Police spokesperson Laura Binz told Patch the officer was taken to to the hospital but is expected to be ok. He had non-life-threatening injuries. The driver was treated on scene.
