Police Report Robbery at Knifepoint on Bike Path in Alexandria

ALEXANDRIA, VA — The Alexandria Police Department Monday night is investigating a robbery at knifepoint that took place on an Alexandria bike trail, according to a social media post by police.

Police say the robbery took place on the Holmes Run bike path near ”Bicentennial Tree.” The bike trail crosses Duke Street between the Shoppes at Foxchase and the Duke Street Dog Park.

Two suspects robbed a victim at knifepoint, police said. There were no injuries and police are in the area.

There was no information released regarding a description of the suspects.
