Officers were called out to the 5500 block of Leesburg Pike in Falls Church at about 11:24 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 29, for a reported sex offense, according to police.

An investigation determined that the victim, an 18-year-old woman, boarded a commuter bus at Lee Highway near Annandale Road. A man allegedly sat down beside her and engaged her in conversation, police said. The suspect inappropriately touched the woman, according to police, and prevented her from getting out of her seat, police said. The suspect exited the bus near Leesburg Pike and Carlin Springs Road (see map).
