Preservation in the 21st Century: Adding New to Old (And It's About More Than History)
Annual lecture honoring St. Paul's architect Benjamin H. Latrobe features Roger K. Lewis, FAIA, Washington Post columnist and cartoonist

The annual Latrobe lecture honors the legacy of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church architect Benjamin H. Latrobe. This year’s speaker, Roger K. Lewis, is a fellow of the American Institute of Architects; a practicing architect and urban planner; a professor emeritus of architecture at the University of Maryland College Park; and an author and journalist. Using cartoons he has drawn for his Washington Post column, “Shaping the City,” and for the NTHP’s “Preservation News” magazine, Lewis will talk about the diverse challenges as well as the benefits of preserving and repurposing older works of architecture. Join us at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 14, in the nave.
