Rescuers Search Water for Alexandria Resident Patrick McTague

Authorities are waiting for the body of an Alexandria man to surface at Prettyboy Reservoir in Baltimore County, Md., after witnesses saw him fall from the edge of the dam Saturday evening, Baltimore County police reported.
At 6:49 p.m. on Saturday, witnesses said a man who had been hanging over the dam fell in, according to the report.

Police identified the man as Patrick McTague, 30, of the 1100 block of North Pitt Street in Alexandria, VA.
Swift water rescuers and watershed police searched the area around the 18100 block of Pretty Boy Dam Road Saturday and found an abandoned vehicle with Virginia tags, a tennis shoe and a hat, but not the man himself, the report said.

Waters were too dangerous around the dam to send divers in on Sunday, according to police, who said officials were watching the area in the event that the body resurfaces and the mission had moved from a rescue (person in need of assistance) to recovery (person who has not survived).
