Restaurants, Pier Dining Proposed For Robinson Landing

Plans submitted to the Alexandria Planning Commission show a restaurant, pier dining area and cafe.

ALEXANDRIA, VA—Alexandria Restaurant Partners has proposed restaurants with indoor and outdoor seating at the Robinson Landing development. The Planning Commission will consider the proposals on March 5.

The restaurant group proposes an upscale restaurant serving fine seafood and steaks made on a charcoal grill along with a full bar and extensive wine menu. The restaurant would have 184 indoor seats and 83 patio seats. ARP says the offerings would be similar to The Majestic, one of its current restaurants in Old Town.

The other components are a more casual cafe and outdoor pier dining area. The pier dining area would include seafood offerings, 34 bar seats, 70 lounge seats and 128 table seats. The cafe would have 32 indoor and 32 outdoor seats and a menu including sushi. Some cooking for the pier could occur in the cafe or in an airstream trailer.
