Robbery And Abduction In Old Town Leads Police To Seek Suspect
Alexandria Police are seeking a suspect after a robbery and abduction of a woman, which a social media claims was a violent attack.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — A reported robbery and abduction in Old Town on Sept. 1 is being investigated by Alexandria Police as they seek a suspect.
A report on Nextdoor suggested the crime at Wilkes Street and South Washington Street was a violent attack on a woman. The report claimed a man threw the woman to the ground, grabbed her around the neck and pulled her into an alley.
A driver at the intersection observed the incident and stepped in to help the victim, according to the report. Police responded to the scene but have not announced an arrest in the case.

The incident was reportedly captured on gas station surveillance. Police said they are "investigating and reviewing all evidence to identify and arrest the individual responsible."
