Royal Street Barn Opens In Place Of Forge Industrial Works
Royal Street Barn sells home décor, unique gifts and vintage furniture and hosts do-it-yourself workshops.
ALEXANDRIA, VA—A new locally-owned store called Royal Street Barn has taken the place of the former Forge Industrial Works at 128 South Royal Street. The grand opening was held the first weekend of December.
Patrons of Forge Industrial Works will be happy to know the concept of Royal Street Barn is similar. The store offers home décor, unique gifts and other seasonal items. But while Forge Industrial Works focused on industrial furniture, Royal Street Barn has a selection of vintage furniture. The store was previously Vintage Redeux in La Plata, Md. before it opened the new location in Old Town Alexandria.
Custom painting services are available for furniture. The business hosts do-it-yourself (DIY) furniture painting and sign building workshops as well.

Store hours are 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday to Friday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and noon-4 p.m. Sunday.
