Running for Office in Wyoming ... from Alexandria?
Liz Cheney is running for a U.S. House seat in Wyoming; a Facebook message announcing her campaign was posted from Alexandria.

ALEXANDRIA, VA -- Alexandria made a little news on the political scene -- in Wyoming -- this week when it was noticed that a post announcing Liz Cheney’s campaign on Facebook was posted from Alexandria, Va., the Billings Gazette reported.
Liz Cheney, a Republican and daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney, is running for an open U.S. House seat in Wyoming.
HuffPost Politics pointed out the incident quoting the campaign’s announcement: “At this perilous time,” Cheney wrote, “we must have a strong, conservative voice representing Wyoming in the U.S. House of Representatives. I am running because I will be that voice.” HuffPost went on to point out: “There was one big problem: Cheney’s post was geotagged -- from Alexandria, Virginia. (The geotag has since been removed.)“

The Wyoming Tribune Eagle newspaper said that in a previous race, Cheney’s residency was an issue: “One of the key issues that dogged Cheney’s failed U.S. Senate bid was the frequent criticism related to her connections to Wyoming. Cheney has lived much of her life outside the state, and she moved from Virginia to her new home in Wilson – a small town just south of Jackson – shortly before she announced her Senate bid.”
Cheney’s campaign Facebook page took some hits in the Comments including: “We don’t need you here, go back to Alexandria, Va.!!!” and “So are your town hall meetings going to be held by Skype or Google Hang Outs?”
