Triple Craft Opens At Sailing Marina In Alexandria
There's a new dining spot in Alexandria offering outdoor dining with monument views and crazy milkshakes.
ALEXANDRIA, VA -- Looking for a place to dine on the waterfront with a clear view of the monuments? There's a new place open, and it's even closer to D.C. than the Old Town waterfront.
At the Washington Sailing Marina, what used to be the Indigo Landing restaurant is now Triple Craft. The marina is part of Daingerfield Island, which is considered the earliest permanent settlement of Alexandria.
Triple Craft offers a casual dining experience with outdoor and indoor seating right on the waterfront. Menu offerings include specialty burgers, salads, sides, alcoholic beverages and their deluxe shakes topped with frosting, candies, cookies and more.

The dining spot is part of the marina run by Guest Services, a Fairfax-based company that provides concessions for parks on the local, state and national levels. The company also operates concessions on the National Mall and and locations like the National Gallery of Art.
But when guests have eaten their fill, the marina offers activities like canoeing, paddle boating and docks for individuals bringing sailboats. During the summer, the marina also holds sailing school for over 100 kids June through August. The new dining spot was redesigned to accommodate Mount Vernon Trail bikers and marina visitors stopping for a bite to eat in between activities.
"The more people we can make happy when they come to the park, the more they will come back," Ken Lopez, director of business development at Guest Services, told Patch.
Parking is free, and bikers can access the marina on the Mount Vernon Trail. The restaurant is open daily 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. Find out more on Triple Craft's website.
