Alexandria School Board Candidates To Attend Del Ray Forum

ALEXANDRIA, VA—A forum with all 16 candidates running for Alexandria's school board is set for Wednesday, Oct. 3 at 6:30 p.m. in Del Ray. Community members are invited to the forum at Del Ray United Methodist Church, 100 East Windsor Avenue, Alexandria. Grassroots Alexandria and Tenants and Workers United are hosting the forum.

Voters will choose their selections for the nine-member school board on Election Day (Tuesday, Nov. 6). Three school board members each from three voting districts are elected. Voters will choose three candidates on their ballots. Members serve three-year terms.

The candidates are:

District A

• Michelle Rief
• Marc Solomon
• Christopher Suarez

District B

• Cynthia Anderson
• Jewelyn Cosgrove
• Margaret Lorber
• Veronica Nolan

• Ramee Gentry
• John Lennon
• Dianara Saget
• Heather Thornton
