School of Rock Alexandria is a music school offering lessons and workshops for guitar, drums, vocals, bass and keyboard/piano. Lessons are offered from beginner to advanced levels and for different age groups, from ages 6-7 to adults. The first level, designed for children with no previous musical experience (typically ages 6-7) teaches basics like chords, rhythm and song structure and lets kids try out multiple instruments. The Rock 101 program for ages 8-13 features a weekly private lesson and group rehearsal to learn classic rock songs simplified for beginners.

More advanced programs give students an opportunity to kick off their careers in music. The House Band program lets kids 17 and under join a band made up of their peers, while the Allstars program selects the best students from around the world for a summer tour program. Students ages 13-19 can join the Center Stage Artist Search Program, which includes a studio recording session and live showcase with record label executives.
The first camps will be held over the summer. Like the lessons, the camps are split into different age groups, and most end with a live show.
