Scottish Christmas Walk Named One Of Best Christmas Festivals
This weekend's Scottish Christmas Walk Weekend is one of two Christmas events from Virginia that made the list.

ALEXANDRIA, VA—If you need another reason to attend the Scottish Christmas Walk Weekend, it's been getting attention outside the DC region. Southern Living Magazine has named it one of the South's Best Christmas Festivals.
This is how Southern Living describes the Alexandria's festival:
Celebrate Old Town Alexandria’s Scottish Heritage at the 47th annual Scottish Christmas Walk Weekend. Not only will there be the Scottish Walk Parade, there are holiday home tours, the Taste of Scotland event, and more bagpipe-and plaid-filled options.
Elsewhere in Virginia, Williamsburg's "A Colonial Christmas" also made the list.

This isn't the first time Alexandria's Christmas season has been recognized. USA Today named Alexandria one of America’s Top Holiday Towns, with the Scottish Christmas Walk being a key reason for that ranking. On top of that, the Holiday Boat Parade of Lights happening the same weekend (Dec. 2) is again up for USA Today's Best Holiday Parade. (Voting for that contest is open through noon Dec. 4.)
